Dewey Dock and Halsey Park

AHIA maintains two waterfront properties:

  • Dewey Dock located in Heineman Park features a picnic table and an easy walking path to and from the water's edge. The dock itself can be used for fishing, swimming, and launching kayaks/canoes.

  • Halsey Park is located in upper Admiral Heights at the intersection of Halsey and McDonough Road. Halsey park features a large lawn and a picnic table. There is a path to the water, but no dock or pier at this site. AHIA hosts many meet and greets and holiday events at Halsey park.

The Williams Drive property is managed separately by the Admiral Heights Boat Club. This park contains a path to the water that ends with a narrow flight of stairs. At the waterfront, there is a dock with slips available to boat club members. There are also racks for kayaks, canoes, and small boats. Storage lockers are available for paddles, life vests, etc.

Membership in the boat club is open to all residents but requires a separate application. The AH Boat Club also maintains their own set of Rules of Operation. To be a member of the AH Boat Club, you must also be a member in good standing with AHIA.
